Four "E Team" master swimmers competed in the "Pickin' Up Steam" meet held September 29, 2018 at Randolph-Macon College's Estes Aquatic Center. Emilie MacDonald (19), Alyssa Godesky (33), Quin Lucie (45) and Bill Wardle (66) entered 10 individual events, scoring nine first place wins. They also competed in two relay events, the 200 mixed medley and 200 mix free relays, scoring first -place wins in both.
Meet records were set by Lucie (50 free and 50 back) and Godesky (500 free). Wardle set two Virginia records in the 100 and 200 backstroke events.
The swimmers are coached by Don Easterling at the Brooks Family YMCA.
