Local masters swimmers, coached by Don Easterling at the Brooks Family YMCA, competed in two meets on February 29, 2020. Alex Tan (19), Mary Hardy (45), Quin Lucie (46), and Corey Krall (50) swam in the 5th annual Club Tribe Masters Classic in Williamsburg. The group scored six first-, five second-, and three third-place finishes.

The second meet was held in Bethesda, Maryland at the 28th annual Albatross Open. Olivia Heeb-Wade (23) touched the wall for four first-place finishes in individual events, setting meet records in the 200 and 400 free, and 200 breaststroke.
Shirley Loftus-Charley (68) and Ann Lyttle (72), swimming for Virginia Masters Swim Team (VMST) scored with three first- and three second-place finishes in their individual events. Loftus-Charley joined with other VMST swimmers to set an age group meet record in the mixed 200 medley relay. Loftus-Charley and Lyttle set a national record for VMST in the women's 400 medley relay (LCM).
